3M™ LifeASSURE™ PDA Series Filter Capsule combines layers of an asymmetric polyethersulfone (PES) membrane with our Advanced Pleat Technology to create a filter with high throughput and fast flow. They’re available with 0.2 and 0.1 μm rated membranes for critical sterilisation applications.

For sterile filtration of biological liquids where low protein binding is critical, use 3M™ LifeASSURE™ PDA Series Filter Capsule.

We combine layers of an asymmetric polyethersulfone (PES) membrane with our Advanced Pleat Technology in manufacturing 3M LifeASSURE PDA Series Filter Capsules. The highly asymmetric upstream layer provides prefiltration capacity for the downstream layer, which is also asymmetric. Together, the membrane layers create a gradient membrane pore morphology that provides a relatively high contaminant capacity and fast flow rates in a sterilising grade membrane filter.

3M LifeASSURE PDA Series capsule filters Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) construction helps to extend service life. This design technology is intended to increase the useful surface area while maintaining open flow paths between media pleats.

It has an all-polypropylene structural components (end caps, adapters, media support, inner core and outer cage), and comes in multiple lengths to match customer applications.

3M LifeASSURE PDA filters are available with 0.2 and 0.1 μm rated membranes for critical sterilization applications, such as: Final 0.1 and 0.2 μm sterilising filtration of Biological Liquids.

Meeting Your Scale-Up Needs
We offer a full range of 3M LifeASSURE PDA sterilising-grade filters to meet your scale-up process needs. This includes pre-sterilised or sterilisable disposable capsules in various sizes as well as full-size cartridges. We also offer filter discs and 50 mm capsules when even smaller membrane surface areas are required.

Engineered for Quality and Reliability
The 3M Purification Inc. Quality Management System is approved by an accredited registering body to the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Quality Management Systems, and the cartridges are 100% forward flow integrity tested prior to shipment. We ship all 3M LifeASSURE PDA cartridge and capsule filters with a Certificate of Quality affirming compliance with manufacturing quality specifications. Additionally, supporting Drug Master File (DMF) documentation is on file with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a complete 3M LifeASSURE PDA Validation Guide is available upon request.
